For the main photo prop we decided to see how it looked with different colour edits:
- This is the original photograph without any editing, and although the basics are good it does need improving. The background is the main problem that needs sorting as there are unwanted people intruding in the image.
- This is the first edit we did; the background has been sorted with the clone stamp tool. We didn't adjust the levels or lighting too much as we already thought it was good; the lightness on the woman's face is effective at representing her purity, it is suggesting she is almost angelic or like the singer's saviour, which is what we wanted to portray. The shadow on the singer's face helps develop these representations as it portrays him as 'in the dark', or that he could perhaps need saving.
- In this edit we wanted to try something different. On this photo we have increased the contrast a lot and increased the saturation. This has given the photo a bright, warm orangey tint, which makes the photo look more inviting and homely. It also makes it look a bit older due to the dark texture, which is what we wanted to represent in the video.
